United Church Winchester

Welcome to the United Church Winchester.

We invite all those who want to share in the exploration of what the Christian faith means to join us in worship and fellowship. We offer lively, relevant and interesting worship and assure you of a warm welcome.

As well as services on Sundays and Friday and groups who meet for fellowship, we have a Coffee Bar which is open to the public every week day morning from 10am - 2pm and on Saturdays from 10am - 12pm.  We also host various events open to one and all.

Where Science, Theology and Ethics Collide: The Case of the Human Brain

Where can contemporary societies find the moral resources to evaluate new scientific and technological possibilities wisely? Can religious traditions whose sacred texts are thousands of years old possibly bring anything to this search for present-day wisdom? In this lecture, Neil Messer will argue that a Christian theological tradition has intellectual, moral and spiritual resources that modern societies badly need to address issues like these. At The Stripe, King Alfred Campus, Sparkford Road, Winchester, SO22 4NR on Wednesday 5 June at 6pm for 6.30pm.  Refreshments are available. There is no charge to attend, but seat reservation is essential
